Eufy 2K Wireless Smart Doorbell is a comprehensive safety solution for your home. The doorbell has everything you can expect; 2K video, 2-way audio, night vision, great view angle, local storage, no subscription bill, and a great app to manage it. Besides, there are several customizable options to suit your needs.
The doorbell is not battery-supported, and it needs existing wiring to work. Its dimensions are very slim, fitting into narrow door frames. You will find it easy to install the jumper cable and wire it up and get running in minutes.
The doorbell will work only with a 16-24V AC transformer. You can use the wedge included in the pack to point the in-built camera 15 degrees left or right.
Beforehand, you have to adjust the settings of the activity zone and the sensitivity level of motion detection according to your preference.
Instant Recording of Events
When a visitor walks up to the door, you will get an instant alert on your mobile even if he doesn’t press the bell. The built-in camera of the video doorbell system is triggered to start recording through the full-image pixel contrast.
Then the system will further undergo a human-shape detection.
With AI technology the camera intelligently recognizes humans only; generates alerts and sends a snap of the visitor. You can see who is at the door in 2K resolution.
Crystal- Clear Images
The HDR imaging provides high clarity, while the night vision is perfect. The 4:3 aspect ratio offers a wide-angle vertical-range and will show the whole person head-to-toe. Additionally, the fish-eye distortion correction will contribute to the image quality.
If you want, you can use the 2-way audio to speak directly to the visitor. Also, the doorbell is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. You can connect the doorbell with them and check-in anytime on what’s happening outside the front door.
Using these smart home devices, you can interact with visitors in real-time or via pre-set responses. You can record up to 3 instant responses and use them as you wish.
Secure Local Storage With No Monthly Bill
Eufy 2K Wireless Smart Doorbell offers 4GB eMMC built-in storage free of cost. This is more than enough to store up to 30 days of video, assuming you’re recording 30 videos a day of approximately30 seconds each.

Most importantly, your video clips are encrypted on bank-grade AES-128bit and stored on local storage. You can share them with your family members via the EufySecurity App.

How to Install Eufy Security Video Doorbell
It is easy to install Eufy Security Video Doorbell following step-by-step given in the Manual. However, if you feel uncomfortable at any stage, consult or seek the service of a qualified electrician.
You may probably require the following tools for the installation
- Phillips-Head Screwdriver
- Power Drill with 1/4″ (6.35mm) Drill Bit
First of all, install the EufySecurity App and activate it on your smartphone.
Before installing the doorbell, switch off the master circuit breaker in your house and confirm once again that the electricity in your house is properly shut off.
Note that you are using the existing wiring to power your doorbell. So, be aware of the location of your existing chimes in the house.
Bypass the Doorbell Chime
You have to bypass the doorbell chime to get enough power. Otherwise, video doorbell may not work properly. For that, locate the doorbell chime, uncover and find the screw terminals with TRANS and FRONT markings. Then using the jumper included in the pack, connect the FRONT and TRANS terminals. This will prevent the existing chime from making sound anymore. However, you can leave the original wire connecting to the chime untouched.
It is not necessary that your doorbell chime has the same marking as described. If so, refer to the help session in the App for the custom wiring instructions or consult a qualified electrician.
Now remove the existing doorbell button at the front door. Pull the two wires out carefully. Check whether you can reuse the existing holes on the wall to place the doorbell.
Now, use the Screw Hole Positioning-Card to mark the screw holes in the place of the existing doorbell button. Place it at least 1.2m(48”) high from the ground for optimal viewing result, then drill holes (Use 1/4″ (6.35mm) drill bit).
If necessary, you can place the 15° mounting wedge under the mounting bracket. The wedge will help you to point the doorbell left or right to widen the camera’s reachable range. However, to use the wedge is optional.
If you are installing the doorbell in materials such as stucco, brick, or concrete, you can use the anchors provided. For wooden doorframes, there is no need for an anchor.
Now, return to the two wires you have pulled out. By straightening the wire ends, you can lead them through the central square hole on the bracket before start mounting.
And, insert the two screws provided through the screw holes or through the 15° mounting wedge and fasten the screws tightly.
Now, connect the wires to the two terminals at the back of the doorbell, then tighten the terminal screws. Use electrical wiring tape to secure the connection if the wall doesn’t have space for the wire nuts.
There are two thermal conductive pads on the mounting bracket. They’re used to conduct heat from video doorbell to the metal bracket. Remove the films on the thermally conductive pads before you mount the doorbell.
Hook the doorbell on top of the mounting bracket and then snap the doorbell bottom to the bracket. You may hear a “click” sound.
You can use the doorbell detaching pin to detach the doorbell from the mounting bracket if you wish.
No return to the master circuit breaker in your house and switch back to ON.Wait until the doorbell ring flashes yellow.
Access EufySecurity App on your mobile. Then follow the on-screen instructions in EufySecurity App to connect the video doorbell to your home Wi-Fi.
Follow the on-screen instructions in the App. Install the doorbell power pin to the doorbell chime and then pair it to your video doorbell.
